CAN THE COLD DECEND OFF THE PLATEAU LIKE THE HEAT DOES?

How much of that lift is influenced by the plateau good question. hadn't thought of that. The picture above looks like urban heat island also playing a part. Thanks for not thinking i was being a jerk, i was actually curious

While elevation is a factor, there isn't that much difference. I think lift is playing a more significant factor in this thing. The lift will be here soon. How much of that lift is influenced by the plateau

We might need to list everyone's elevation like an ice storm now. This reminds me of a snowstorm that killed rolla in 2010 but did nothing to STL

I'm just wondering how soon the fun will start. My friend in KC said the roads were wet but he also doesn't care to look further outside.

That’s like 2-3” per hour rates just sitting over Osage beach. Absolutely insane. Looks like the building is towards the boundry that the pop offs went on

some of the higher rainfall totals shown by the hrrr are a click or two further south than recent storms - thinking areas between 44 and the MO river. But I'd go with along and south of 70 for sure with this one. Plus, it really looks like this is an overnighter, not limited to just the evening. I have to wonder if the flash flood watch may ultimately be extended to noon tomorrow. I am so tired of driving through this on my way to work.

Been watching the live stream of Fagradalsfjall most of the day. It started erupting again this morning. I love lava! I couldn't wait to leave work to have it on my extra monitor in the background

Jokes and all this could not have happened at a worse time. Right as rush hour started. One of the worst drives of my life only beat by my drive to work Tuesday Morning. I'm starting to have terrible anxiety that the next storm is going to hit right when i'm going/leaving work again.

I went ahead and made a discord server for the Corner. The invite link below expires in a week. Discord is completely free to use so if you don’t have an account you can make one for free. discord.gg/p5HBDY5tJust thought I’d try it out for awhile and see if it gains any traction. Might not be a bad place to have as a backup or place to jump in and discuss model data as it rolls out. Says address is invalid worked for me

The radar returns don’t look like it but it’s snow is coming down pretty good here. Any explanation? Snow growth zone is close to the ground and smaller flakes dont give the same signature as big heavy flakes

3.5" of new snow since midnight putting us on the brink of 9" storm total here in Brighton. 14* Starting to get that 2014 look with the drifts. Friggin' winter wonderland unless you're out in it. Hearing reports of roads blown shut locally. RTE 3 is horrible and downtown Alton is impassable if you are not in a truck or bigger SUV
