Idk if this has been posted, but saw this on FB. IDT Chris can put this on air, but thought it looked funny. I don't know if who to credit. It is out of a KC bar.

I'm seeing Very light flakes here in Litchfield. I had the look at a tree to see them falling. At this rate a dusting will be hard to come by.

I would have chased the Litchfield/Taylorville tornado had I gotten off work about 30mins earlier. I didn't have to, I seen it out my rear east window.

In just about 1/2 hour our parking lot turned from a slight sheet of ice, to white from sleet.

Are those birds on radar over the eastern counties? It really cloudy any heavy up here, so I would say it's light rain or virga.

Anyone know... When Radarscope shows lightning does it show only CG? Or does it show the CC and GC as well? If I remember correctly, it uses static discharge sensors. If it detects a discharge it shows as lightning. Not 100% though. I would assume it would show CC too.

No one is getting 2 inches Oh the jokes..... I was about to say that was a "That's what she said" joke. That is in no way a reference of any type of off color joke. Just something I have seen on network television.. LOL

So... because I am a glutton for punishment...I went back and did a quick review of the old model runs that are still available for today's storm. And despite some perceptions that one model locked in all week and was better than the other...what I found is that most of them stumbled across something that looks similar to what happened a few times earlier in the week..but none of them were consistant enough to build any confidence...or even a solid trend IMO. I have a snap shot saved on my phone of the GFS.FV3 from Monday that is almost a perfect match...but then it went on to flop around like a dead fish the rest of the week. In the end... the 850mb low came in almost 50 to 90 miles farther south than any of the models had shown. That is a lot. It's good to go back and study them. Tells you which one had the better run. But one thing I remembered was at the beginning, when the system first showed, you or someone said a shift south of 50 miles would determine if we would get snow or not. It was like there was doubt from the beginning.

Chris, IDK how you don't go off on some of the comments on Facebook. Almost don't want to read them. Makes me want to go off for you.. LOL
Meanwhile, I have some light flakes blowing around up here, kinda like a fine mist. Wind is picking up a bit.

You can almost draw the line between freezing and rain from the iPing reports.

We haven't even started the event yet. Let's see how this plays out. I find it hard that the two coasts get nailed and we see nothing. We just need to get that cold air down here....

I don't pretend to be an expert, but the west is getting slammed in the mountains, and they are predicting the East is going to get slammed too. I think we should get something, but all the big chain weather channels are pretty much writing us off, with just a little bit.

Not a big fan of the Winter Weather Advisory for this morning. Temps are above freezing and not dropping very much. So I am dancing that fine line of mentioning the advisory...but not making a big deal about it. In fact...I'm probably making too big of a deal of not making a big deal about it... if that makes sense. I went to bed at 9pm I was at 31.6. Woke up at 3 am, it was 33.7.

Hope the stores have plenty of supplies for the next storm for everyone! Sure hope it ain’t ice, guys! We're having an issue getting ours in. Trucks are halted. We have not had a frozen, dairy or meat truck in 2 days. Same with milk. We did get a grocery truck yesterday. The distribution center has ran out of trailers to fill because the trucks are parked.

Personally this whole naming of winter storms has got to stop. It's silly and it doesn't do anything. I have no issues with numbering them like Winter Storm 1, 2019 or Winter Storm 2, 2019, etc. But names? That's just nonsense. They announced next weekend's winter storm will be name Winter Storm Chris I think he will be offended, especially if it fizzles out.. LOL
