I’m guessing the waves were coming in just off perpendicular- creating the wave pattern on the shoreline.

Was in Cape- when I took my glasses off when it became total took my breathe away- 4+ minutes… just surreal to take it all in. 5 + hour ride home- more than worth it

NAM with some big flakeage tomorrow morning. The isothermal layer all the way up to 700... ideal for flakes to collate, and some omega thru the DGZ. Be nice if it's correct

Yep better than 12 hours would be helpful- when I saw this this morning I was not surprised this overachieved - a few soundings had lapse rates 8*C/km thru the zone

6 inches storm total south st peters. In theory this was a warning criteria event since the new criteria is 5 inches Maybe forSt Charles County... but thats it. Need to get NWS to issue warnings down to the street level. Mention that to them when you get a chance

New Weeks CFS Monthlies look disgusting for Winter Weather Lovers. Flipped 180 to a very warm dry March. Looks like this week we'll be it with Spring here to stay after this week unless something changes that the models haven't sniffed out yet. Be looking forward to your 14 additional forecasts this month for March.

00z gfs has a nice snow too. However, it does it with a ridiculous surface temperature distribution 😂 Definitely worth paying attention to now Almost like a March/April storm. Only cold air is right under the heaviest band of precip. Dynamics are impressive- jet across the lakes help coupling and keep it from shifting north- closes off to 300. Has over .50 liquid in 3 hours. Lift/ omega thru the DGZ. This would certainly be more than mood snow

Warm advection events usually come in quicker than models think. TDs into the single digits well into Texas/ low wet bulbs make me think the warm up will be slow. Eventually warm droplets will be the key to bring us above freezing.
