Kinda weird that it was showing as observed and a pds on radarscope but no report. There are 2 surveys this morning. One near Brighton but I think that was from the morning. Don't remember where the other is but it wasn't maeystown EM reported there was nothing in Maeystown. I think both surveys are from the AM. Other is Charlack in north County. Hi Chris, check your DM’s. You may have seen the video but it’s a pretty cool look at what a vortex looks like.

5” here in O’Fallon. A very healthy 5. If you’re referring to MO, I’m exactly at your mark.

Measured in 3 spots in O’Fallon/Dardenne Prarie, 4.5”, 5” & 5.5”. I usually go with the top of my yard waste trash lid which was 5.5 but will go with the avg of 5” where I’m at. Man, those were rabbits falling earlier! Anyone hear thunder?

btw, just drove home from Wright City in a downpour with thunder. When I got home, there were puddles. Looks like we got some pretty decent downpour. My big problem is the amount of potholes in our area. Why can’t they fill these in!? I turned out of Home Depot the other day, hit one and almost damaged my car’s undercarriage exhaust. Why can’t city dollars be allocated towards filling these dangerous holes in our city streets? Here’s one off Bryan Road and Mexico where the Walgreens is. This is unacceptable! Feel free to send this into Fox2 Chris!

Yea most of the short term models are not very encouraging I believe Chris saw this coming when alluding to his verbiage via his Facebook update yesterday evening when he stated he did not see this as a well organized system for either phase and that neither wave has certainty it will produce the output with absolute certainty. Not to say you guys disagreed. Thought I’d make that clear too lol

Yeah, it's becoming clear the forward speed and dry slotting is limiting this storm's potential. The far NW counties may not get much more than a dusting with no overlap between waves and the dry slot aiming towards that area. For the Metro and points S...the forecast is looking to hold up. This is not a well organized storm at all...the slope between surface to upper level features is far from ideal. Hopefully the mid-level low tracks close enough to tighten up the Fgen a bit during the afternoon and prolongs the forcing.

Not sure if these lines feed into my power but this has always been a worry upon our move in 3 years ago.

I’m late to this new disco but is anyone talking about the wind with this storm? The mix of wind and ice just doesn’t sit well with me. I just heard Warren and Reynolds counties are reporting outages. Still have power here. Yikes.

Mixed bag in O Fallon, MO. More wintry precip falling as ground is almost all white. Temp hovering 32-33. Hard to tell if we’re at freezing yet.

Measured at 11.5 in O’Fallon/Dardenne in a few accountable spots. Maybe another half inch left if lucky will put us right at a foot.

So... made a post about the bad roads... mentioned that interstate was driveable... but anything off the interstate was getting to be impassable to non 4wD. Does that sound like a call for people to go driving? How is that turning into a thing? I'm getting called out by some because they think I'm telling people its ok to drive! Is that what it sounds like? How could they read something into my post that was the complete opposite of what I was intending? Am I losing it? Social media at its finest. There’s nothing you can say that won’t get misconstrued on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. People lack common sense these days. Smh

Looks like the radar is starting to back-build and intensify just west of the metro.

Makes me wonder if the totals need to be upped. The placement of this 2nd wave has come together beautifully and looks to park it perfectly over almost entire metro for another 7-8 hours.

How much snow you have in Chesterfield? Unsure at the moment. I havent been home. My wife visually estimated at least 5.5 two hours ago... and the webcam I set up to look at my snow board is covered in snow so I cant see it lol. Additional snow or total?

LOL... sorry if I caused some hearts to stop saying the snow would continue into the weekend. I meant into the afternoon. My brain is cold. Sorry if that cause some of you to start digging for why that would happen lol. Just don’t say this on air 🤣😂

The story of the day will be pulsing... the snow may ease a bit for a little while.. but there is still a steady stream of moisture buding north... and radar shows an increase in intensity coming up from the SSW. Sure looks like snow will hang on for a portion of the weekend. Forecast totals are still mostly on track.. Have you gotten a chance to measure your neck of the woods?

I don’t have an exact measurement but I would guess about 9/10” in O’Fallon with another 3-5 to arrive…

Friv why does there almost always a persistant band in st.charles county, I lived here my entire year, and 75 percent of the time the death band parks itsil in this area. Is there an influence from the rivers Aka the mid rivers area. Just curious if there seriously is a small micro climate enhancement or, is it just coincidence. Lmao

Man I'm right in the edge of no snow here with second part per 00z NAM. What a bummer. First wave was heavier north and now second is south. Some models did point this out a couple of times the last few days with the snow minimum. But for the most part they were showing waaaaay to much here. Always fall for that. Lol Great storm so far for most. But nothing to the Epic one I was hoping for. I don’t think you are too far north this time if you were too far south with the first wave. Where’s your location? The entire metro should receive a nice dose with the 2nd wave.

Hwy K. Chris used the perfect analogy. This stuff is like concrete. I live one mile from there just down K- It was great to have Chris in our area today I didn’t know he was in our neck of the woods. He’s is only a quick drive down 40. I would assume his totals are similar to ours.
