I remember when i was in the ANG at Lambert being on snowplow duty. We would be the ones out there plowing the runways. Not all of us will be able to “wake up” Wednesday morning to a beautiful scenery of snow stuck to everything…….some of us will be out in it all night long just waiting to be able to go back home to get some ZZZZZZ’s. 😂😂

I love getting up in the middle of the night and go outside. Its so quiet and peaceful The one thing I wish is this was happening during the day so we could enjoy the view! Hope there’s something left when we wake up Weds am! Anyone going to stay up to try and snap pics at night? Haha! Excited for our big snow!

Hi. I am also a long time lurker, and I enjoy watching all of the predictions. My name is Linda, retired Air National Guard, and mom of a Marine who is bringing me to Charleston, SC for the holidays.

I know someone has mentioned it before but I think a Facebook group would be great for this forum. Esp how easy it is to post a photo or video on there. I know not everyone uses Facebook on here but maybe they will join just for that group? I'd be interested

Tesson Ferry at Susan Hills is a disaster. Both ways are a complete standstill because cars cannot get up either hill. Yep, got caught int that earlier. The slush froze and cars were sliding up, down, and ACROSS the hill. It is bad. Got around it by taking Wells (not recommended) to Meramec bottom, but then could get up 21 after 141. Then I just drove around aimlessly.lol My best friend lives there. Shes a 1/2 from home and all roads are closed. Shes been trying to get home for 5 hours now.

They’ll have to figure out why STL county sirens didn’t go off at the first warning. Not good. The airport told people to shelter AFTER the storm passed. Arghhhhh Sister in law in Woodson Terrace complained about the same thing
I got text alerts about the warning long before the sirens went off.

It almost feels like mother nature needs to pull the rug out from under us on this one. I mean that's happened so much over the last 3-4 years that we probably all suffer from a cognitive bias of dismissing winter storms out of hand out of fear of getting burned again. Can you blame us though? Well she kinda is for metro...everthing is way south.
