For what it's worth, Angela tweaked Chris's map for the morning show. Shrunk the northern band to the west, shrunk the southern band to the east, and most importantly changed the 1-3" to 2-3" (with verbal emphasis on the 3" for most).
I liked the numbers tease, both on Chris's map on last night's broadcast and Angela's, with the middle band. Graphic showed north & south's total first and talked, then swept in the middle numbers. On the edge of my seat! Pleased with the slight kick-up. Edit: Got my first "redirect" in Safari on my iPhone after hitting post. This drives me nuts! Sometimes when clicking on a link on Twitter, it redirects you to the App store; can go back, but can't get to the article. Searched for solutions, it's becoming more common, doesn't seem to be any counter measures yet.
Current meso analysis on the SPC pge has the 850 0* line in EXTREME sw MO..near Noel in Mcdonald county..where my aunts and uncles live. The 12z NAM had it just a bit further ne..maybe 20 miles..at 9am.
Chris, watched the facebook video apparently just after you shut it down. I thought the way you went through the maps and all the insight and info you laid out for the public to see was awesome. I can only imagine the spark you lit in Lord knows how many kids with those maps. Truly awesome and thanks for all your time you spend here, over and above your jobs. Thanks again
NCAR and NSSL WRF ensembles both look good for a widespread 1-3" event (with higher amounts possible) for nearly everyone. Busts are possible with any event and this one is no exception, but based on multiple model outputs I'd say the bust potential may actually be below average this time around.

grizzlebeard: I'll put this here since it rarely rolls over: Please include your location in your profile, or identify your location when posting observations. You saying it is 20 and raining doesn't help if we don't know where you are. That is all.

gonefishin - WashMO: Okay. I know these storms are no laughing matter, and I don't know if anyone has posted this, AND I know it's from the Weather Channel, which in and of itself causes it to lose some credibility, but this is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

MakeitRain: The 12z NAM wants to develop a line of storms through the metro around 1-2pm this afternoon. However, the HRRR is not picking up on this piece. I would not rule out the chance of severe weather as we head into the afternoon.
