GFS continues to release the Arctic motherload on the United States this run. Near record cold seems inevitable in the next 2 weeks.

About 2 inches here. Dud a test run..made it up 2 hills. But snowplow just came through and plowed and laid some chemicals down. That should help.

Clouds in the sky here are super low and white. Looks odd. About two inches of snow here. One of these every couple of days would be fine by me.

If we get near record cold that would be temps way in to the - teens. Possible. But rare. Definitely need snow on the ground. Clippers will jave to perform like today's did

Leaf blower does a great job on this kind of snow. Just finished up with the leaf blower! Didn't measure, but would guess between a quarter to half an inch. Got a new backpack leaf blower this past fall, made real short work of clearing walks and decks! Absolutely! Diveway 8 or 9 pads long plus 6 pads in from of garage door. Just finished up in 23 minutes to and including the curb. Little exertion so no heart worries except for the cold air. No wind here yet.

Clippers will jave to perform like today's did Multiple models for multiple runs. There is something there. I said near record. I'm thinking-10 Chicago and below zero STL. Obviously outlying areas will be 5 plus degrees colder. That stupid Tuesday system is the only thing that could modify temps. If it comes south a little, nobody is losing snow cover north of Quincy.

M 1.75 here. Still a few flakes floating down, but it won't make it to the 2 inch mark. Pleasantly surprised how this went. Just wish it would have happened on a school night.

Well... not quite to bed. Tuesday was bothering me...so I took a quick look...with special attention to the soundings. I must say I have concerns about freezing drizzle Tuesday morning as the low level moisture arrives. This is the point sounding for STL off the NAM3km.... I shows a stout inversion in the low levels...that is saturated...and topped by a drier layer...although not super dry. That may not matter in the presence of WAA aloft... it will not take much lift to start generating drizzle within that layer. At ground level...air temps are progged at 31...which may be too cold considering the large snowfield that exists to our south. But even with that..the wetbulb temps are initially in the upper 20s...and...the ground will be frozen solid by then. This will need more scrutiny tomorrow. But as of this moment...it is worth mentioning "developing freezing drizzle...changing to drizzle" Thursday morning...ahead of the rain.

Ya ought try out a third degree sprain. 3 months no weight. Then gradual rehab. Ya don't do that way it's possibly chronic. Even if you do everything right it can bother you later. I was extremely lucky my brother went through the exact same injury prior to me. Learned from his mistakes. He had chronic problems. I have not. Most doctors will tell you you're better off with a break then a sprain. Except when your fracture also includes severing of ligaments and tendons as a result of displacement of the foot

Measured 1.9-2.0 multiple spots on vehicle and patio table I cleared. It's enough that the scoured areas from the drifting now show no grass.

Drove back from downtown from the winter warm up. 55 covered in passing lane and about doubled my time to get back home to Ste. Gen. Once back in town side roads all covered with snow and definitely took things slow when I hit Ste. Gen county line all the way to house. Little over an inch of new snow from snow today at house.
