Timing will be key. I agree with Brtn that the intensity may be quute impressive..at least for an hour or two. And if that hour ortwo hits before 630....then the issues will big. However... if it doesnt really ramp up until after 630...then I think the rush will be largely unaffected. Unfortunately... it is a very close call...and I am inclined to play it safe and assume it arrives earlier in the rush...an encourage folks to head home a little early.

I like the short term models having that band of really heavy snow over my area..but I'm still skeptical. I'm envisioning a couple inches of slop that's partially melted by the morning but who knows.

nws thinks snow start time, based on their fb page, about 4 pm imby and that includes st chuck and st Louis proper. As for what I think, based on what I can see in the gfs and euro graphics, we should see a switchover to fr rain after 8 pm, then to plain rain some time around midnight....but we could get 1 to 2 inches of snow. Rain shuts off quickly then we see drizzle throughout the overnight/early morning hours. I think waa is going to be more aggressive than what people are seeing on the models, but I really think we climb above freezing pretty early compared to what I see the expectations are on this forum. Based on that, I'm definitely wfh tomorrow, but on Wednesday morning, I really don't see issues attm. Really the main story will be the timing, and intensity and the fact that EVERYBODY returns to work tomorrow. Soooooo close to my seasonal prediction for the season, but not quite there tomorrow night, I'm afraid. We'll just have to make it up in March, I guess. lol.

Sounds about right. It will probably miss too my South as well. I think I'm 5-6 years older than you. And I'm sure you have seen more snow than me but double. Those 2000s were really really lean in SWIL. The people who deserve this the most are the ones just to my South.

I hope this is not the last snow of the season. Would like one more 6” snowfall before spring gets here. I honestly think we are not seeing the last snow of the season....These kind of winters tend to breathe one last gasp. I just think we will have to wait a while for it. I don't think it will be a 6 inch snow, though. But this is all guess work in this part of the season where winter events tend to be kind of random in March. So who knows.

I've been shafted in pretty much every direction this year...I don't know how to handle it because I'm usually digging out while everyone else is kicking rocks, lol.
I'm not too salty about it, you guys down there are due for a solid winter. Missing that blizzard was a jagged pill though.

I’m sick of being shafted. The entire season of winter has been a waste outside of one event. I’ve had 14.9” of snow since December 1st.
