Here my location. You can see I was in Sullivan by the time I took this screenshot. But it was sited as I was going up the hills maybe a mile before Bourbon looking East/Southeast. In case a survey crew is sent out I’m posting this image and the red X where I believe the tornado was when I seen it so they can look for destruction west of where the first confirmed touchdown came because I know for a fact that this was on the ground before then. I went back through the radar scans and there was definitely strong rotation close to the area you highlighted (a bit further south actually). Now I didn't see any obvious debris signatures but that doesn't necessarily mean anything of course. That would match up. The X was my best estimate. Only seen a couple weak tornadoes in my life but this was the biggest I’ve personally seen. If we didn’t get hit with the hail in St. James I wouldn’t have even been looking for the tornado because it was very hard to get a glimpse of it driving down 44 if you didn’t know where to look. If we didn’t have kids with us we would have turned around and pulled over but the area you could see it was very dangerous. I’m bummed I didn’t get a pic to show you all.

I saw some weak rotation right over me (the one that was behind the Cadet one). Then the sirens went off. Got a short vid as it moved eastward. Looked like the one Chris posted somewhere. Don't know if it was FB or Twitter.

I've had some heavy rain and a good deal of lightning for the last half hour or so. Things seem to be settling down now. Didn't have anything severe

This might have been the absolute worst tornado warning ever issued. Thought so too. Thanks for everyone looking out for me on here. We had pea size hail and in laws reported seeing a funnel. They live on top of bluff and said they saw a cloud descending or aloft cross over the river.

They live on top of bluff and said they saw a cloud descending or aloft cross over the river. Haha yea that was awful. And of course the sirens in Perryville city went off, getting everyone riled up for absolutely no reason. People take it VERY seriously since the EF-4.

Seen a photo on my Facebook of which looked like a pretty good size funnel cloud with that StG tornado warned storm this evening. See if i can’t find it and take a screenshot of it.

Seen a photo on my Facebook of which looked like a pretty good size funnel cloud with that StG tornado warned storm this evening. See if i can’t find it and take a screenshot of it. I just saw a video by Cindy Kertz on facebook that I shared to my facebook page. 30 second video appears to be looking north from the St. Mary or Perry County area at what looks like two funnel clouds. Need some help hammering down location of where video was shot but her facebook profile page says she is from St. Mary's and it is shot from her son's yard. Anyways if you can figure it out or help me load it to here, screen shot it or something else we can let the pros look at it an decide what they think.

Weathernation had a shot of a funnel cloud near Chester, IL on Facebook.
No lightning that I see but another slug of rain appears to be heading down the Mississippi River towards the city.

I know this is a bit of an IMBY question, but will the rain Thursday be an all day type rain, or are we expecting off and on rain throughout the day?

Looks like a wall cloud and funnel... Oh my word!!!!!!!!! I found a video on YouTube by a stormchaser (I'm guessing by the name of the channel) that was less than 2 blocks from from me & he was saying the same thing. I can't believe I saw it.

**Update** As was suggested by some of you on here...I did submit my report and approximate location to the NWS on the tornado I seen on Sunday when no one else had a report of a tornado there. Although I think it looked much bigger...the actual damage path resulted in an EF-0 tornado which touched down 7 miles northeast of Steelville in Crawford County. Here’s the info: /
