The town of Albany in NW MO is reportedly cut off in all directions due to flooding. There is a flash flood emergency for Gentry and southern Harrison counties. Looks like the rainfall amounts are underdone by a good amount up in northern MO. Some places have already had 3-4 inches today. With plenty more to go it seems. All going into the MO and MS rivers. That's well out of the Missouri River valley and in the hills. Must be the small creeks in the area out of control.

Well, yeah, the flash flood emergency is for flash flooding not from the Missouri river. But all the waster will end up in the Missouri river. Maybe I wasn't clear.

Reed deployed a sensor inside the monster. It's 20000 ft in the air and sending data. He also posted video of it..and holy sh1t it's huge.

Don't look now, but there's signs of a "homebrew" tropical system forming in the western Gulf and associated deep tropical moisture getting pushed into the Plains and Midwest this time next week. I suppose it is tropical season...
The good news is that the EPS develops a huge upper ridge across the central US in about 10-15 days...let's hope that pans out.

That is maybe the most impressive velocity signature I've ever seen! This is really bad! Wouldn't be surprised if that was a EF-5 though size doesn't always equate to intensity.

Velocities and debris lofting definitely suggest a violent tornado...possibly EF4+

Circulation seems to be filling a bit...definitely not as tight as before but still a strong and large mesocyclone.
