I've heard of it least 3 fatalities so far from the storms today.. 2 in Southeast Missouri in Van Buren and one in far Southern Illinois somewhere near the Ohio river.

I reorganized my schedule based on your forecasts this morning. It was spot on. Thanks for your hard work.

We thinking that rain will impact Franklin county tonight? My wife is insisting we still float tomorrow in spite of my recommendation that we don’t.

At Eureka High School Oh how I would have loved watching that thing roll in! Brennan and I are in Sandusky and enjoyed one heck of a beautiful day here at Cedar Point! Great pic!

Storms seem to be favoring the further north scenario so far this evening...not far off from what the EURO forecasted if they congeal and turn SE with time which would put areas along/N of 70/64 in the crosshairs.

seems like theyll need to turn south in a hurry if they're gonna hit the immediate metro.

I do think they will make it to stl and points north. South of 70 though is questionable.

My question is where is the complex in KS going to end up.

the answer will be "here" because thats where all heavy rain ends up since last fall.

Man, more rain development north of STL headed into the area. Wow. Round after round! Rivers are going to go back up again i assume?

Gonna be tough to hit our Heat Advisory today too. In fact a bit surprised they didn't cancel it and lower temps several degrees. Gonna be difficult to get anything above mid 80s if clouds and storms stick around like the HRRR is showing.

More thunder here as more storms are developing. Pretty good area along and north of I70, with some flash flood warnings as well.

Thunder off in the distance north and south of me. Dark enough for the outside lights to come on as well. Just under 1/2” overnight

That severe MCS yesterday was actually a merger of two separate MCSs. The first storms were born way back in Colorado and the MCS made it all the way to South Carolina! Check out the radar loop

at least this looks like it'll be fairly quick. The stuff back in Kansas looks to be rocketing to the north of us. Any more development right on its tail, though?

What is the most recent forecast look like? There is a lot of activity and racing today/tonight over at GatewayMSP . And then we’re going to do a bigass fireworks show after the race. I’m also going to do a little surprise on the NASCAR parade lap, and for those that attend the Indycar races at GatewayMSP have seen my little surprises(On the back straight) 😱 Would just like to know if these storms are going to keep training all day, or are we about done, and, if anyone needs something to do today, there are activities all afternoon and evening that are a lot of fun. There’s even a purpose build first class Karting facility on the infield in turns 1&2, that you can come down and race the karts amongst all the NASCAR and ARCA teams.

I don't know, looks pretty wet for the next few hours. I'm a bit north of where most of it appears to be sliding, just slightly, to be fair (I should've specified it was a bit of backyardism)

Have a small impromptu creek running through my back yard after that last 8 AM batchof rain. And getting dark and rumbling around pretty good again.

we're under greens and yellows here in the north half of the metro, just north of where those red blobs slid south, but its not doing anything beyond an occasional light mist.

I guess that cluster will organize into more of a bow and slide south? I'm trying to get a couple lawns done today at some point.
