Not a drop in St Clair or Hillsboro today.

That is one long arcing MCS. More or less, if you're generous, stretches from southeast Wisconsin through Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois all the way to central Missouri. Yet somehow misses STL completely...classic split!

I did not receive one drop of rain with all the storms around today. Let's see what tomorrow brings, maybe a diamond ring. Well, it's alright. Now that was the definition of a 'supergroup'.

Wow I just saw a big cloud to ground lightning strike NORTH of Festus out of the cirrus well away from the storms to our south. I’ve never seen it that far away and made me question being safe.

Have some mammatus here in De Soto with some rumbles of thunder. The storms are farther away than they were earlier.

Wow and another cloud to ground strike right across the lot. No storms near me.

Some of those strikes are 75 miles away from the core of the storms. Pretty impressive

Was wondering why we were hearing thunder when Festus had nothing nearby!

Seems like we all are in agreement that this setup, SUCKED! I knew I wasn't only one. Only a few sprinkles in Troy, Mo per wife and kids.

Glad I wasn’t the only one surprised by that lightning. I mean damn that’s a long way off and at a distance when you would really think you’re more than safe.
We got a pretty good storm in Perryville by the looks of the small branches and a few shingles strewn about. And lots of rain.

Can't imagine lift will be a problem the next couple days... as systems come south around the Hudson Bay low- should be some good lift in the RER part of the jet

Is that rain to the NW ever going to move or just set there and rain itself out?

So we going to get rain tonight, or will it evaporate upon arrival?

Next couple days look active for sure...wavy boundary with jet support like coz mentioned. Could be a FF threat if the same areas recieve multiple rounds of storms.

Tropical Storm Chantel has formed in a bit of an odd location - the middle of the North Atlantic. Looks to heading to its demise in the middle of nowhere bothering very little other than ships

The shortwave across SE NE looks like it will kick off storms along I70 the next couple hours. Trend should be for this to shift further south as we head into the evening. After the past few days however... who the heck knows.

Since Union got the 6 plus inches in 2 and a half hours several weeks ago we've received like a half inch. Lol another hot muggy dry day today.

Oh good 'cause 2019 is no longer in the lead for the highest accumulation year-to-date anymore. We need this to regain the lead.

Crossing my fingers that we miss again. I've barely seen more than a sprinkle the last few days. I was stupid and added water to the pool thinking the heavy rain threat had passed. The forecast changes so much it is frustrating.
