12z gfs definitely coming south a good amount for the end of the week.
Northeastern counties still in play for initial icing before it warms up too much.
Also, some potential for backside snow if it keeps coming south
The south push does setup the potential for additional significant rain too though.

Epo with a sudden change to a positive phase by D5-7 before going back down in the longer term which is a shot in the dark. I quit.

Whats crazy is its beenvso mild but definately not a dud metro is near to slighty above where we should be for seasonal snowfall. Heck st.louis has had more snow than columbia and kansas city this year i believe. And we had more than the warning areas out west. So somehow we are managing to do real well in the snow department. We already have 3 plows in which is the companies seasonal average.

Ukmet and ggem remain north, so not much support for the gfs

well we had 1 decent snow in November, 1 in December and now 1 in January. We'll have to wait a few weeks for another one I guess.

Three inches on the deck railing in North St. Pete. It's really pretty on the trees on the bluff in my backyard!

No accumulation here, but it changed to light snow around 8 pm. I was at least happy to see it snow.

Just eyeballing judging 2 and a 1/2 inches maybe 3 in here in Ferguson. Since November the area has had a decent couple of Inches each month. Is that pretty good?

Ukmet and ggem remain north, so not much support for the gfs While I think it’s unlikely we get anything around here, it’s hard to ignore the models strength bias in the medium range this season. Just look at yesterday’s storm. If we can get a flatter system with weaker WAA then icing could be a problem this far south

Meanwhile the ukmet looks more like severe weather than winter weather with the system next weekend

A very light but noticeable freezing drizzle in Arnold I thought I had seen a few flakes of snow here about 830. But I thought it might be coming off the roof so I dismissed it. But maybe the clouds were dropping a handful of flakes.

We definitely need the 1-3 inches of rain the gfs and euro are showing late week.

Somebody should get a lot of ice

That's because you don't get figurative speaking, lol. He was serious, I was not. 2 flakes means not much at all. Did we get more than I thought, yes, definitely. But have any of you ever seen literally 2 flakes fall? No? That's why it's figurative. Needing to explain this ..more than once is quite ridiculous.

Pretty big shift south in the Euro ensemble low tracks for the system Friday. 00z run had a mean near Green Bay and the 12z has a mean in northern Illinois
