2 lonely degrees to zero. Dew point is only at -3, so there’s some work to do.

Been 8 at Lambert since 11pm, lol.
I'd say 0 is extremely unlikely. 5 is probably unlikely.

Agreed not happening , it’s 5 in wentzville and 7 in chesterfield (at 4am) It was 9 degrees in wentzville at 5-6 pm last night. Temps have dropped way less than expected. I’m sure it will get close to 0 by morning but definitely not below. Can’t wait to hear how cold it gets in St Peters this morning:)

Lack of snow cover and a bit of a breeze are keeping temps from crashing much more tonight.

O when i left home 20 min ago. Accurite said -0.3. Outside said about 0. Winds have stopped I would say it is likely I fall to below zero in my location befor sunrise. I know lambert did not get there but all things comsidered 0 or slightly below with no snow cover even in st.peters is impressive especially when the pattern really does not support anything this cold. When I get back from gym i will tell you the official low on the accurite memory

Bottomed out at our house in St Clair at 3 degrees. That’s cold enough in my book.

Only 2 days of below freezing for high temps is a sad winter if you ask me. Finally made it to single digit lows by Feb 14. Unreal.

Well I guess nothing is brewing next week afterall. I'm ready for spring. The high pressure coming down next week looks like a beast. Pretty much kills any secondary development

Meanwhile, I’ll be enjoying the daily 1-2” of snow in Mercer and the UP

Yeah winds resided overnight, but the speed didn't get below 3-5 mph till after sunrise. The positioning of the high is so crucial in this type of situation. So realistically speaking, IF the high progressed further SE and IF we had >1" of snow which was possible then lows this morning would of been -4F to -6*F. But, we don't live in a world of what ifs haha!

Meanwhile, I’ll be enjoying the daily 1-2” of snow in Mercer and the UP I'll still be keeping an eye out as there have been several times this year where models have shown a strong HP and it has gradually dissipated over time. That would allow things to pull north. Obviously, not likely at all but we are nearing end of winter and it's all I got. Crazy our two coldest nights have come in November and February.

I’m sure that if there’s something that develops, the Corner will be the first place to mention it.
