They just showed on the news it looked like 3-5” is that about right World Series? Ohare had 3.1 and Midway had 2.6, so I would say I was around 2 or 2.5 inches since the lake is still warm lol. The drifts were cool though. Looked like a foot plus in the park, but other areas were bare. Better than nothing, but not like we got slammed

Wife reports we have more snow at the house than she had at work a short distance south at Jungerman and Willott. And we barely have a dusting at the house.

Right about 1/2” in Villa Ridge. Lots of cars in the ditch and roads are covered. Very slick snow.

Just got home from Chesterfield. A few detours on the way home. Started snowing in Arnold as we entered TX Roadhouse around 4pm. Had to detour to Home Depot on Hwy A from new 21. Forgot when leaving Roadhouse. The snow snakes were many and mesmerizing. Coming back the roads took a definite turn for the worse. The initial melting from tire tracks formed a thin layer of solid ice. A few cars were in the median on new 21 between A and B. Decided on Old 21 instead of Tinhouse and Breckenridge. Still pretty slick with light 'Diamond Dust' falling. Hwy H from 21 west was pretty slick. Stayed at 30-35. We got home to a 1/2" of snow on the drivway. Perfect little dry powdery snowflakes. I enjoy the snow more when I can stay in and look outside or at least play in it. Tired of driving in it.

Road condition difference between highway 30 at little Brennan and a mile or two East is startling. Little Brennan & Brennan are complete sheets of ice, while there's no sign of anything at 141 and 30

Gets worse again as you go down Medley Hill and the road is covered.

Stinks that this all falls across 3 days. If this thing had a bit more going for it in the upper levels, could be a pretty nasty event. That's a decent slug of precip from the pacific.

This pattern, though it sucks, is actually pretty amazing. This week will be the third week in a row with a very similar temp and storm profile, minus a few differences. Long range appears to keep this pattern in place.

We have caught a few breaks this winter, and will continue to have to get lucky it appears to get much snow. The polar vortex looks to be nice and strong, keeping the arctic closed off for the most part. I guess what I mean by catch a break is any sustained cold is nowhere to be found. My idea of a good winter is 3 or more inches of snow for longer than 2 weeks straight.

00z NAM is a fun one in terms of snow for most of us after starting out as rain or a mix!
What a long duration storm the 00z NAM shows. Wow what a crazy run.

Think we would want the nam a bit east, but still a fun run Agreed! At this point though the potential is there for something big, that's for sure. Too early for details. Someone somewhere on this blog is going to get dumped on I believe.

That's a plethora of moisture! And we are only a little over 48 hrs out. The freezing rain potential Wednesday night could be sneaky impactful. It will be happening at night with a chilled ground and we just saw how efficient accretion can be at night even with temps of 30-32*

Snowstorm , I think the same thing , frozen ground light rain/snow with temps around 30-32 I think we will see bigger impacts on the roads for Thursday morning
