This is the night vision mode on my phone, about 4 am before I left for work. Someone in Bellevue measured almost 9 inches. I believe it.

That is an amazing night vision picture! There is part of me that is glad I wasn't on duty up at Stratcom this week But then there is part that wishes I had been there too. Very pretty!

Google Pixel. 3 I think. Considering most of the base is shut down it would be pretty to drive around it and see the pristine snow.

Yeah... I have no idea when I will actually get back up there. I was hoping for a week in June... but who knows.

There a 12” report just north of the Mo border in Iowa. That’s very impressive for mid April

Looks like the south better watch out starting Sunday. Looks like at least a couple decent shots at severe wx again.

I just read that too. We need more testing so bad it's ridiculous. Pathetic.

Just a dusting along the lake, but some coworkers are reporting 3 inches on the west side further from the lake. O’hare got at least 4 inches. Still haven’t seen any snow in two December’s up here, but October and April have been fun lol

I scraped 3+ off my car this morning at 5am, and we had moderate snow until 10ish. I don't get too wrapped up in snow totals. There are too many variables.

That is a lot. I think the more important measure is the population prevalence though. Just my know-nothing interpretation, but 3% prevalence (albeit for one specific region) compared to the oft cited 60-70% for herd immunity sounds like we have a LONG way to go (sans vaccine) doesn't it? I think this has implications on managing the economic, educational, and health aspects of the situation beyond just 2-4 week time horizons.

I personally doubt most colleges will open for on campus classes this fall...not unless there is antibody testing readily available to prove students have already had it/been exposed to it. High schools are a little different because you are talking about kids living at home... but absent those kinds of testing I really doubt univeraities can risk it.
