Does anybody know much about twitter? I constantly get late notifications? I'll get some right away, no big deal. But for instance, i just got a warning from NWS Saint Louis for Farmington. Time was like 1am. But the time it says on Twitter was around 9 something last evening?? It doesn't happen just for NWS either. Its other groups too. Just wondering.

So will we be in the backend circulation for most of the day with off and on showers?

yes. lots of showers will bubble up. Actually, with us sitting under cold air aloft and closing off upper low... wonder if a few cold air funnels may spin up today.

We had about 2.6" out here in the manual gauge. Pond way up behind us and spillway modestly overflowing. Lucked out by avoiding any damaging wind. During the night we encountered 3 or 4 wide spaced lightning strikes from somewhere not real close. However, the thunder generated was long lasting and tremendously loud and strong. Thought the rattling windows were going to break and the shaking house crumble, twice. Probably a half hour passed from first to last strike and there was light rain falling the whole time and then some. Odd...

That little cell in pike county MO looks like it’s had some rotation. Maybe a funnel with that one. Interesting!

What a crappy day of weather!! I normally am dead set against working in the rain but was able to get 12 yards of red mulch down today. It was so wet it looked like I murdered someone today from the red dye in the mulch

Do you think my herbs can get planted Saturday? I don’t want temps below 50* at night. Thoughts?

I know nothing about gardening but I would wait a couple weeks if you can't have temps below 50. But like I said, I know nothing, lol

We're past the threat of frost/freeze, IMO...biggest issue now is the wet ground. Ground temps running 55-60* which is safe for pretty much all plants including peppers and tomatoes.
