Pretty cool seeing both outflows colliding over Sullivan and watching that storm pop simultaneously. This was over an hour ago but didn’t have a chance to post.

I know we just got enough to wet the concrete but at least we were able to get the boat covered up before it started. If we wouldn't have covered the boat I'm sure we would have got more. 7 miles west of DeSoto.😁

Had enough to dampen things slightly. Amazing because it was making a beeline right towards me. Then played dodge 'em. Thundered a lot though and cooled off.

Early week has the potential to be fairly stormy. I’m all good with that. Nothing worse than day after day of blistering sun and heat.

My son is the Friday paperboy at the Missourian and when I picked him up at 5, I could barely see and the gutters on the side of the roads were full. Amazing what a difference a few miles makes.

St Clair got pounded, and Washington. Union right in between with a few drops. Sounds about right. Lol

Big CAPE... strong lapse rates and little cap late tomorrow and tomorrow night with the boundary setting up over us.

May see some localized heavy rainfall and flash flooding somewhere in the I-70 corridor tonight. Very high CAPE values initially and PW well over 2" with very very light deep layer flow from the west parallel to the boundary. HRRR, RAP, NAM and other models are hinting at some training and/or stationary thunderstorms through this area as well. One major mitigating factor though is that the low level jet looks to remain relatively weak and veered into the boundary overnight.

Some thought of potential flash flooding this week with some pretty intense downpours possible. My thinking is best chances west of MS river and along and north of 70 - warren and lincoln counties especially is my guess of highest risk.
