A blurry/flizzard in progress 7 miles west of De Soto. Although no wind to speak of but I am still using those terms. Beautiful for sure.

I can barely see H highway looking up my driveway. If it would just keep this up for, I don't know, maybe an hour or two. I won't be too greedy yet, winter is still young.

Euro continues to scoot SE with every run. It now takes the surface low just SE of the metro. As a result the ice accumulations are moving SE as well That's a noteworthy shift SE!

so this was a case where the models showing the stripe of snow along the back edge of cold front was accurate this time. I know it doesn't happen very often. i also seen a post from CO NWS that a -50* temp was recorded this morning in CO somewhere.

RGEM pushes heaviest icing to the metro and points northwest. Have to laugh though as most of the so called 'freezing rain' is occurring when temps are above freezing. Maybe wetbulbing or something like that?

Maybe wetbulbing or something like that? Soundings and FRAM output support some high end icing in the metro. Hard to put much trust in that model though
