It appears models have underestimated Snowman’s snow repelling powers. 😂😂😂

Widespread 2-4" today image hostingIt's the HRRR which is historically "wet"... so I would cut those numbers back a bit if it were me (which I did ) 1-2 with spots of 3 southeast of I-44 down towards the Kaskaskia River. That's what I've been saying anyway. And welcome back!

Have steady like snow here in Belleville still with a solid dusting at this point. The main feature happening is that it's sticking to the grass and the ground the only thing is not sticking to it the pavement but that will change as soon as that wall of snow arrives. Huge wall of snow. Expect YELLOW returns on the radar to blossom as the wall of snow arrives good quality pictures

I am very encouraged by the light snow in Belleville so far sticking to the ground. Also in SWANSEA IL metro station snow is sticking to the parking lot. Cha-Ching

I’m going with a final call of 2” here in Arnold
I wouldn’t be surprised if someone in the southern counties pushes 4”

Moderate snow moving into Union, MO now.
The 12Z nam is hinting at deformation zone trying to establish as the system moves out
It also has the jackpot over the Southern 1/3rd just like Master Higgins said

Moderate snow temp 29* 7 miles west of De Soto. Flakes are still very small, but lots of em'. Everything dusted except the concrete pad in front of garage. Lots of blues and greens heading this way.

WV it looked like a def band was starting to form in NW Mo. No radar echo's from this yet. I was going to ask will that track eastward or south eastward?? Good to have you and Snowman back in the mix.

Moderate snow moving into Union, MO now. The 12Z nam is hinting at deformation zone trying to establish as the system moves out It also has the jackpot over the Southern 1/3rd just like Master Higgins said Models were definitely hinting at that last night with increasing mid-level Fgen developing along 70 in the LER of the jetstream to the S. Radar shows the beginning of that out towards St. Joe. Looks like a solid 1-3" event after all is said and done.
