That is a great radar presentation for those on the southeast side of the metro area.

Looks like descent in front of the death band that had formed is causing the snow just north of it to weaken. It may not be that process. But that kind of crazy lift also sees strong decent which dries out moisture I wouldn't be surprised if the Southern moisture bands steal and rob moisture from the NW thus bringing snow totals down from STL and NW of there....

10 hens two roosters. The Bantam Rooster and 2 hens are basically our dogs with benefits....eggs. They havent laid many eggs since January. They stay in a tractor coop. The other 9 have a permanent coop and haven't seen them much during this cold stretch. Those hens have also slowed production during this cold spell. Which came first????The Bantams have been here not long after we moved here. They were first. That is exactly how they look......And you have never seen them.

Unless something changes.....this salt shaker snow in St. Charles isn’t going to get us there......except for the higher elevations of Mt. St. Peters they are likely to see 12+” Regardless of the final amount.....this is a historically significant storm for everyone in the region.

That won't happen for long. The heavy snow is going take over the metro. We still have salt shaker here So is definitely taking its time

Pouring snow, larger flakes, almost dime size. Vis near 700'. Can't see other side of Hwy H. Temp steady at 1* 7 miles west of De Soto. Radar looks great from my living room seat.

Inspire of the radar looking great here.
We have light tiny flakes still.
So dry air definitely dented things.
Should wash out soon

We’ve bounced back and forth between large and small flakes all morning. Either way it’s been sheets of heavy snow.

Flurries In Riverport, maybe an inch and a half so far , i don’t see any chance of 8-9” here maybe 6” if it ever gets going and pushes more north west , so far not that exciting, the brutal cold is hell on bobcats and wheel loaders . It’s not fun to be outside longer than 5-10 minutes.

When I lived in Macomb during the Palm Sunday storm we had salt shaker flakes all day and ended up with 10”. Adds up fast when temps are right.

Will only get stronger as frontal forcing tightens with the vorticity bending back

For all those that never get snow, I hope you all enjoy it. You deserve it. You have waiting long enough!!! Stay safe and hope we get to use the Friv-O-Meter again this season.

Daughters both report all snow--Cape Girardeau and Murray, KY. Youngest is "not sure" if it's all snow in Murray. I immediately took her out of the will.
