Need to keep an eye on the power supply. Problems in Texas could happen here. Waterloo is asking for conservation.

Lift from now until 3-4PM is centered on 700MB which is unfortunately running at -6C.
So not great snow growth.
It cools to -10 to -12C by 230-5pm.

Just by eyeballing, it’s tough to figure out how much we have here in Waterloo, but I do know that my 11-week old pup was having a tough time navigating the back yard.

This storm is going to rival 2014 in terms of severe conditions...I wasn't sure I'd ever see that in my lifetime. Truly an unbelievable storm.

Flake growth definitely sucks. It's been micro salt shaker all day. I was really hoping to see big fluffy flakes like the other morning.

He’s correct Bob, even theSt LOUIS Weather Guy can read models 😂 Has anyone looked at the Wednesday storm? Serious question, have you thought of trying to learn how to read the models? They are SUPER easy to read on Pivotal Weather. You don't have to have a lot of weather knowledge to read the snowfall and qpf maps.

Vis down to 1/4mi now in Brighton...just pouring snow in sheets. This isn't fluff ball snow, but it's the kind that piles up quickly because of the precip density. Getting a lot of BLSN too with wind gusts picking up.

I have shoveled three times since 8:39. This time was the deepest. We have had a boatload of snow. My Davis iOS saying 4.7 degrees. My low was .5 degrees.

Looks like the pivot point is going to set up favorably for the Metro and even a bit NW. Radar continues to look amazing.

And the Springfield radar is totally lit.
Neither even have the Arkansas snow currently.
. They shut us down about 7-8pm.
