Looks like round one will end as all sleet/freezing rain here Expected, but was hoping we could sneak in some snow Yeah, it wasn't unexpected, but was hoping at least from the metro on a straight line to the N and S of it and all areas west would see a good 2-4 with wave 1.

Ratios continue to look good for tonight across the area. I think STL starts around 10 and gradually gets to 16 by the end.
Forecast still looks great.

Still have light sleet and freezing drizzle 7 miles west of De Soto. I am closing in on 5/16" of crust. Temp 23* I don't see the radar returns building to the SW like they were. Union is doing better even! Lol. Sleet/ZR with some tiny flakes here like misty flakes.

FINALLY, after heavy sleet early this morning, and 3.5 hours of moderate but super-tiny "stuff", it is now changing over to real snow. Some of the flakes are big. After looking out the window 52,000 times while waiting for this, I am trying not to get excited yet.

Reed Timmer posted on Facebook that round 2 was getting its act together in Texas, a touch south than what was modeled.

Euro has 10" of snow in northern AR by noon tomorrow and that is with no additional from today, strictly second wave action. Still more to go it looks like.
Edi: Looks like snow for me stops by midnight Fri. Possible light snow with 3rd wave. As of midnight Euro shows 8" for me 7 miles west of De Soto.

Wow - Chris just showed video of a car traveling on highway with back wheel not moving - It was literally sledding on the back tire! That was from this morning. I'm guessing the brake froze up.

Reed Timmer posted on Facebook that round 2 was getting its act together in Texas, a touch south than what was modeled. We don’t need too much more of a southern shift …. Some of the models already have the northern counties getting hosed tonight

3rd wave on Euro disappears before dropping any around here. Interesting that if you take the 3" off of the first 3 hours of Euro (what has already fallen) STL gets 4". Can someone confirm/deny what I am seeing there.
