Models trending towards one more shot of winter for the end of March The period around the 26-28th was looking fairly chilly last time I checked the long range ensemble forecasts. Thinking the morels will start to fruit around then, so I hope it's not too serious. I was able to get the new garden plot tilled up today...the ground was still pretty wet but workable.

Someone posted a dated pic of the first morel of the season on Facebook. No surprise it was in southwest Missouri. If these temperatures persist, I will start looking next week. On another note... what are the thoughts of rainfall amounts next couple days especially down around Ft Leonard Wood? Gasconade is looking good, but I'm hoping we don't get too much rain to bring it up and get muddy. I'd like to get out on it Sunday.

Clear split in the QPF fields on the NAM both 12Z and especially 18Z right around St. Louis and much of the viewing area with heavier rains northwest and southeast of the area. NOAA says 2012 redux is inbound for Summer.

3 more weeks until I am back home in O'Fallon IL! I cannot wait until I live in a place that is one level (until the ankle heals). When our house is built and we move in, I would love to have a MTW get together. Dogs welcome!

NOAA says 2012 redux is inbound for Summer. 60% chance of above normal temps here and the center of the 80% chance bubble is over the 4 corners...hardly 2012. We were already well into the 80s by now and dry as a bone. Let's be realistic...

Modot announced at 5 am that I 57 is back open after that deadly 30 plus car pileup that was reported to have killed at least 5 ppl. Ppl say fog was the cause. I hv an opinion.

I saw on fb of instances where ppl were looking for their loved ones not knowing where they were taken. There is not a major city for a hundred miles, so im guessing critically injured were probably flown to memphis, st. Louis, jonesboro, or paducah. In one case i saw where an individual had been looking for their cousin for hours only to find out the cousin did not make it. I cant imagine the feeling from waiting and not knowing, holding out hope that a loved one may be at any hospital hundreds of miles apart.

Might see some wet flakes tomorrow AM if the NAM is to be believed.
Looks a bit stormy later today as that remnant bow echo moves NE towards the Metro

As others have said, 2012 we were already in the 80's many days with a dry warm wind. I remember morels fruited in Early March and it was already over by about this time, which for those that may not be as familiar, is extremely odd and rare.

everyone knows daylight saving time means physically slowing down the earth's rotation to keep the sun up an extra hour everyday. I mean, duh. Wait. The earth rotates? How do flat surfaces rotate? I'm just now reading through this thread so excuse my late response here. Anyway, I've literally had debates with people who think the Moon does not rotate because we only ever see the same face from our perspective on Earth.

I think you new this though because you said it doesn’t rotate and then used the word rotation to prove your point 😂
