That PDS watch covers almost the whole state of Iowa. So its a PDI watch. Particularly Dangerous Iowa Iowa seems to be under the gun a lot this spring.

Was about to share that same video, always wondered how a windmill would hold up to a tornado. Now we know!

Definitely looks like a stormy evening ahead as those intense storms S of 70 near Sedalia march ENE towards us. Upscale growth should favor a line segment with significant high wind threat and a tornado or two possible with such strong shear parameters.

Slightly drier and less unstable air has blown off the Ozarks into central Missouri. This is likely responsible for the downturn in storm coverage in the past hour or so as storms cross central Missouri. However, looking east towards Hwy 47 and metro STL... Tds jump back into the upper 60s and low 70s. I expect to see storm intensify at least somewhat after the pass through central Missouri.

Looking at the drone damage videos from Greenfield, that must have been an incredibly intense drillbit type tornado. Almost certainly high end EF-4 by the way it looks.

Storms have really struggled to get organized around here...kind of surprised with the airmass in place and the heating today. Maybe some lingering CINH and weak forcing played a role. Haven't checked the MESO page.
Nice rain though and lots of lightning and loud thunder. Looks like more to come for the Metro and points S.

Anyone want to comment on how the results tonight affect the instability in the atmosphere and whether it will play a role in tomorrow's storms? Seems like there might still be a lot of juice to make the potential tomorrow for more severe storms than originally predicted.
