I feel like Columbia has sat under 40 dbz downpours for the last 10 hours. Uncle Sam?? 1.64" at the airport! Several ASOS recording 4.5" all around us tho. Especially north.

Great... I said "this is not a tornado situation" and we have a southwest moving supercell that gives me nightmares of the Jarrell, Texas tornado. I was just talking with our chief about the broad rotation popping up in the last few vel scans

The radar app I used to use is no longer working. What is a good app? I want velocities, storm tracking, etc. Radarscope is great.

GFS now has a tropical system coming off the Yucatán and into the middle of the GOM by Saturday. ECM has a tropical system in the Gulf too...though less organized. Now, does this stay Amanda if it reforms in the Gulf or does it become Cristobal? some searching tells me it becomes Cristobal.

might be able to get something going on the east coast of Florida by midweek. If it's able to get over open water, may get some kind of tropical development.

Wow. I think I've just heard the loudest one in my life. Must have struck less than 1000 feet away. I've never felt a "bomb going off" more than I just did then. Heart was racing! Time to go back to sleep. 🤤🤤

Getting some pretty strong ENE winds behind this round of rain. Wonder if there is some type of wake low influence? How do you identify that sort of thing? Or is it just frontal?
