Starting to see some indications for a storm on or just after the Super Bowl. That is the next period to keep an eye on. Cold air should be around for a bit after that time too, so hopefully we can put it together for a couple weeks and then flip to sunny weather and baseball. I guarantee we will have something to track the week of February 20th. That is the week the Mrs. and I are moving! No, not out of town... just a new house. But you can book it.. something to mess all those plans up because that's my luck! You sound like you have my luck lol…..good luck with the move!!

I’m pretty amazed that the lake out here is still ice covered… With temps above freezing since Monday and rain pretty much every day it has not melted the ice…… I guess it just shows the power of the sun

Just need the 9th to be good. Mom's kidney cancer decided to make a reappearance 8 years later, and she is getting her kidney removed that day. Send prayers, good thoughts, etc that day, and I just want a 3 day weekend of good weather. Your family will be in our prayers

The fog is really getting thick out here…… I’m driving towards St.Libory and I’d say visibility is about a quarter of a mile

Dr. Cohen suggesting we do another cycle with the PV similar to our last experience meaning more stretching. If he is right, February could still be fun. Would expect less intense arctic air and more eastward displacement so hopefully we cash in. Gfs has been trending more wintry in the extended the last 6 runs or so. Euro still ugly at D10. I sure hope at some point we get an actual snow storm…. Listening to it pour down rain tonight after 10 days of Artic air has me mad enough to spit nails

I’m guessing close to an inch here …. The grass is pretty much covered….. hard to tell though with all the blowing…… it’s pretty cool though, the lake is frozen and I have a pretty good drift in front of my boat dock …. That’s something you don’t see every day

I’m not saying we will get an ice storm either but this evenings GfS is showing .27 of freezing rain …. If that were to happen it would be a mess

Anybody under that nice band that developed/strengthened AFTER it went through my place, 7 miles west if De Soto. Looks like more possibilities upstream from me. We are and very light snow is starting to break through

I was just delivering to one of my stores and I saw a car with Tennessee plates on it… An older couple got out and I said you guys are missing the snow back home… And they responded that’s why we came up here to visit our daughter to miss the snow……… OK that’s the final punch to the stomach lol

My question is, how is the drought building? We literally have had inches of rain the last few weeks.

I think the Fgen band Wednesday night into Thursday will drop 4-6 inches. The problem is I think it will be over Central Illinois. I’m sure it will …. It’s one think to get missed to the north but watching the snow in Arky, Texas and Tenn which for several days was modeled for here is flat out aggravating

I mean. C’mon! Memphis under WSW: 4-6” expected. Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right. Here I am stuck in the middle (with all y’all). How do we NOT get the NW nudge when we need it, but only get it when we don’t. Mother Nature is cruel and wicked. Honest, scientific answer is probably the Ozark Plateau. The answer is obvious then …. It needs replaced with a huge lake lol

3km NAM looks good for an inch or two of fluff along/N of 70 this afternoon...hopefully that holds together. It also gets snow into the S Metro tomorrow but the N gradient is questionable due to dry air. Another little wave coming through on Monday could drop an inch or so. Stay warm out there! l Looks like down here we will miss today just to the north and tomorrow just to the south lol I think winning the lotto would have better odds lol
