Nothing in Perryville. You stl folks are going to be fine still. I’d gladly trade.
I just want to have some fun in my Xterra and tow some people out as well.

My NWS forecast calls for 2-4" today. Pretty much in line with Chris' map except I'm right on the southern fringe of the 2-4" on Chris' map. Gotta love how everyone is freaking out over the radar! We aren't getting 2-4". The folks just North of 70 are going to get crushed tho. Look over the ozarks and the previous HRRR runs man. You gotta quit changing your mind post to post and stick with an idea

I'm one of those people that got in an accident. Currently have a cracked L3 and L4 vertebrae, hairline fracture in my clavicle and bruised lungs. Cops say I'd be dead if it wasn't for the seatbelt. WEAR YOUR DAMN SEATBELTS! THEY WILL SAVE YOU! Glad you are "okay" (relatively speaking). How bad is the car? Total Loss Engine ended up in my passenger seat

Can’t side with NOAA here. The President’s sharpie map was from the 29th. If he is using that cone for his justification, it makes it worse. His tweet about Alabama, and the Birmingham response, was was on the 1st. The forecast cone was much, much different from the 29th to the 1st. The President was shooting from the hip and wasn’t completely up to date with the projected cone. You can’t rely on 3 day old material if you’re sending out a tweet about where is in the forecast path. I don’t blame Birmingham one bit for what they did. I hadn't realized there was that much gap between the forecast in question and statements made...as usual, facts were absent in media reports. Anyone else find it odd that this story just now seems to be breaking? Weird, indeed...
NYT just interviewed the NWS there and they are all basically saying "I am Spartacus"

I know we avoid politics here but I hope everyone here sides with the Birmingham NWS.

Some impressive supercells to our west. A bit unusual for this time of year Part of me wants to experience supercells like that. The other part of me remembers my g35 getting totaled out in 2013 due to baseball hail.

So is that decaying MCS to our northwest going to ramp up the rain here due to the high PW values in the area?

The outflow from the western line is going to kick off more storms. Most likely right on top of me as I'm leaving work too

Already 2500+ MLCAPE across the area and it’s only 9am. Storms that do get going today will have plenty of fuel 81*/75* here...juicy. Drink the air

The outflow boundary from yesterday morning has remained ft. he effective boundary this morning and is clearing holding back the severe convection and creating an effective oclussion...with a triple point over southcentral MO. There is just a mess of boundaries and interactions out there which is like throwing a pile of rocks into a quiet pond....there are ripples bouncing off everything making any specific forecast for timing and even location of rain a crap shoot. So what you’re saying is no real way to tell when, how much or how little rain for metro with the next wave? Or if there will even be a wave

That second line is going to try to catch up to the lead line...could congeal into one big line like the 12z 3k Nam shows, albeit a bit sooner than the model would indicate. Fascinating things to watch from a weather perspective. Thats a whole lot of rain about to dump into the Missouri.
