I'm currently in N. Bollinger county. Home is in Park Hills, St. Francois County. Stay put or not? This place is on the outskirts of both lsx & pah in regards to forecasting precip.

18z FV3. I'd expect the gradient on the north side to be much tighter than its showing. I wouldn't mind a small north jog So... I have a totally unscientific method of trying to "tighten" that gradient to something that is more realistic. You take the max value of the core of the band...in this case about 5"....then you cut that in 1/2...so 2.5" Now...find the 2.5" snowfall line...and draw a line. Now...go to the zero line...draw a line. Find the half way point between the 2.5" (half the max) and the 0 snow line...and that's your northern edge. Now you're talking! I'm not even home for the next couple weeks & I'm still in that 'Blob'.

I'm eyeballing it but looks like 2-3 with light snow here in northern Bollinger Co. Beautiful to watch. Hoping I can get back home tomorrow. Surely by Sunday 72 to Fredericktown & 67 N will be ok.

I'm bumming at the moment. I am stuck where I am till Saturday night (Bollinger County). I would really love to see this snow from my own house. And the drive back, not looking forward to that either. My dad always said when you see that Low pressure, etc. (our setup) you'll get a doozy. RIP Dad, you're the best.

Not weather related but have to share some good news. My daughter has wanted to be a zookeeper since she knew what a keeper was. Yesterday this happened-"Four years of school and over 1000 hours of unpaid internships later, I'm so happy to say that today I accepted a full-time keeper job at Saint Louis Zoo's River's Edge." Her passion has taken us to Minot, ND (summer intern in hoofstock), Disney's Animal Kingdom, NOLA Aquarium & today she is saying goodbye to her 4-legged friends at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha. I was checking out the weather for her......so kinda, sorta related.

Slept in today though I did check out the radar around 0700. Looks concerning for flooding again down here.
