Now that the suns going down the intensity is slowing and the heavy returns hit the river and die ..... We have to beg to get a half inch of snow anymore......grrrrrr

I think St.Louis and points east are in the best spot to see accumulating snow .... the heavier snow should hit right around early evening when the suns going down

As soon as it let up the snow on the ground melted ...... very frustrating for January.... looks more like a March snow

Moderate snow is developing along and North of i-70. Will be moving ESE through the metro over the next hour It’s going to take moderate to even heavy snow to overtake these temps ..... I’m sitting at 36.4 ....If the HRRR is right that should happen

Radar looks great. For central and west mo. Actually according to the HRRR the snow is right where it’s supposed to be before pinwheeling through this afternoon and evening and blowing up over us ...... now let’s see if this happens lol

I’m starting to get a good feeling about Sunday’s clipper..... this is the perfect track for a little over achiever ..... models usually don’t catch up to the strength until about 24 hrs out.....

The gfs always looks good in the long range. Wake me when it looks good in 3 hours. Thanks for the new thread. With nothing to talk about. My thoughts from 2 months ago ringing loudly. This winter has been so bad we are not even getting as much fantasy snow 😂

The potential for isolated snow showers this afternoon appears more limited than previous forecasts given weaker low-level lapse rates than originally anticipated.
We can’t even get snow showers this year ...... unreal

Of course the snow showers that pretty much all the short term models showed for today are nowhere to be found ..... I have seen a few flurries though lol

Did a little research to my inaccurate notes and it looks like here in Marissa we have had 1 snow in the last 4 years of over 3 inches and that one we had 7 inches but it turned to rain and half was gone the next day...... this is getting ridiculous

Covid symptoms finally starting to subside. Got a negative test this week too. S/O has spent every day with me since Xmas... no symptoms and no positive tests. This virus is so strange. Anyone else have weird experiences with it? I feel like it might just be a bias... perhaps this pandemic has made us hyper-focused on a communicable disease that we're starting to realize the course of illness' is less linear than we thought? Very strange past 2 or 3 weeks. Glad you are feeling better....... my daughter in law had it with some symptoms but thankfully my son and two grandsons did not get it..... very strange virus for sure

Looks like the HRRR is not picking up near the amount of precip that is currently being depicted on radar in MO. The 2pm frame shows nothing near springfield...or mo. That’s what I was talking about...... none of the models showed moderate snow in western Missouri at this point

If we can just keep that moisture out west from dissipating we might get a little surprise..... radar is definitely better than what was modeled
