They would have to take really close paths for the ocean being torn up to bother the 2nd system...... one thing to remember is that the gulf water is so warm right now it’s like gas on a fire..... so far this year every storm has out produced the model guidance and strengthened in the warm shallow waters

Just rolled back into town after taking my son back to school. I am confident Xavier has done everything they can to get ready, but I am equally as confident the virus will sweep across campus at some point. Either way, we felt it was best to get my son there to ride this out there and get as much in-person classroom time as possible. They have great options in place for how to attend classes under pretty much every circumstance that may arise. If the worst case plays out and it gets really bad, we can easily go get him. But he is safely there, where he wants and needs to be. Walking campus the last two days I did not see a SINGLE person without a mask... that made use feel better. Now we lightly tread into yet another uncertain future. I don’t envy you guys one bit..... who knows what the right decisions are.... I have two grandchildren starting school this year and a son that is a school teacher and Im a nervous wreak.... I’ve been doing a lot of praying

A little recap for Monday evenings storm....... Marissa had over 40 power poles blown down in the storm and some did not get power back until Friday evening.... it was hard to find a yard without some sort of tree damage...... I’m guessing 80+ mph winds

Never say never. It's 2020--it'll probably happen in December and rain sharks or some sort of man-eating bugs. True. Hey, maybe 2020 will be the winter we've all been waiting for. The vast majority of the population would think it was awful but we would enjoy it! I like the way you think!!

I’m not sure how to send pictures on here..... but I will try to send them on your Facebook page

We were blasted down here in Marissa..... almost the whole town is out of power.... trees and power poles are down in many places....... I’m guessing 60 -70 mph winds........ I personally had the top of a huge tree come down , part of my fence blown down and the roof of a gazebo blown partially off..... 2020 still sucks lol

1st Hurricane of the season in the Atlantic...... Hanna will make landfall later today Right in some of the area being very hard hit by covid-19. Not a great situation. Yea that’s not a good situation at all......... I was supposed to be at Myrtle Beach today but with the state of South Carolina testing at a 21% positive rate we made the tough choice to stay home this year .....2020 continues to suck lol

I figured we would have more development to the south along the outflow, but we’ve stayed dry down here as well. We certainly had our share last week and looks like decent chances the next few days again. I have a buddy that farms just south of Waterloo and he says they have only had an inch and a half of rain since early June.... looks like they missed tonight as well.... here in Marisss we missed Friday evening and now tonight..... hoping for tomorrow

You can blame me for the heavy rain threat. It's finally rolled out my above ground automated sprinkler system that I haven't needed for the past 2 years. I also hand washed the family van so we put a double whammy on the weather lol

Rain chances are going the wrong direction..... we went from a 70% chance to now a 40 % chance.... farmers really need some rain down this way
