I mean, the gfs drops a lot of snow for Warren and Lincoln counties. Not a complete shutout for the metro. Good chance of snow and single digit temperatures on Sunday night. And then the arctic freezer next week. Things will be okay. I’m sure we will miss the snow on that one also ….. year after year of this is getting beyond old

Big elevation difference in High Ridge. Things are pretty dicey up on High Ridge boulevard by the water Tower (Elev. 900-950 range). Just wet with some snow mixing in at 30 and Little Brennan (Elev. 700 more or less) I'm loosing track of the borderline/elevation storms we've had lately. Been almost all rain in Brighton(630ft). Same here …. Nothing but cold nasty rain here

I’m sure it’s just fantasy but I have never seen this many runs in a row on the GFS of 20+ inches of snow for our area…… If only lol

GFS keeps coming north for Friday ……grrrr a couple more shifts and we’re in the rain again 06z ICON is a bruiser for the entire area. In fact, Marissa is ground zero on that run..lol. I do have a feeling this next storm (Friday's) will take a further S track than tomorrow even if it still does end up NW of the benchmark. I like the way you think lol

Did anyone else happen to see a comet or meteor about 20 minutes ago ? Coolest thing I have ever seen in the sky…. It had a fire trail behind it … just incredible! If it was a comet then we are in trouble Yea I thought about that after I posted that lol …..

Which model best forecast last nights surprise a few days out? Maybe that model should be leaned on as we approach Tuesday and next weekend. None of them. Nam picked up on it a little, but is obviously way on its own with the Tuesday and should be discounted until within 48 hours. The short term models HRRR and Rap nailed this thing….. they also had last November’s surprise …… but I have seen these two models out to lunch on a storm lol

Sleet snow mix starting here You have some 35 dbz over you or near you. Is it big snow flakes or sleet contamination? There is sleet mixing In which is actually helping the snow stick…… great to see you back Friv!!!!!
