Is the complex of storms in between KC and Columbia going to be a factor later?

Had some blowing dust and some heavy rains but I don't think the winds reached levels

Did they just warn the gust front? It seemed a little overdue given the reports out of south county and especially with a measured 58 MPH at Smartt field (St. Charles). That said, my experience matched guyatacomputer...most impressive thing I saw was reduced visibility from dust when the gust front came through.

Nice development for southern portions of viewing area now.
Also, the cell out by California Mo must be dropping some big hail.

Getting quality rain out of this cell here in Desoto. Lightning has been the most impressive feature thus far.

Lots of good rain in Western Missouri. But there's a gap between two large batches. With the movement the rain is showing that gap lines up just right for the city to miss the good rain.

In would assume the lack of sunshine this morning will keep the storm chances at a lower risk this afternoon/evening?

Not seeing much if any action today, not with temps stuck in the 70s (which feels almost hoodie weather compared to the past several days), and tons of clouds. In fact very few of the convection allowing models so anything occurring in or around our neck of the woods. Nice to be back to average temps though even if only for a day or so.

Lot of subtle, low amplitude shortwaves the next week to 10 days... sometimes with some good CAPE available- but likely won't show it's hand until a few hours out. Both Saturday and Sunday may have some potential though.

Storms northwest of the city look promising....IF the hold together. They are moving into sunny clear area so there should be some lift in the atmosphere rather than being worked over
