Is that a weak rotation showing up on radar near west Belleville? Kinda of looks like it.

Driving today hit some light to moderate rain in KC; light showers and drizzle on either side of KC. Enough to cause some serious wrecks in KC blocking freeway ramps and making people drive stupid...or more stupid than normal. Didn't get into sunshine until about 30 miles south of Sioux City.

I am trying to figure out the thought process with these flash flood warnings so far tonight. They issued very early...and VERY large warnings considering the size of areas affected by heavy rain so far.

Wild watching the movement of all these cells on radar. Variable speeds and directions.
A storm is moving almost due west into Hecker as the St Clair county storm morphs S.

And another warning for Jefferson county. That wave seems to be almost training and as Gordy start to pivot it may almost become stationary

They issued very early...and VERY large warnings considering the size of areas affected by heavy rain so far. We have a town site on FB, people are freaking out because it isn't raining here. Its quite comical to read as some folks cant understand that a storm over East St. Louis, while in St. Clair county is the cause of the warning.

1.5" in rain gauge since around 6ish. Very efficient rain producers. Very light rain now. Looks like a decent break coming up which is good for Joachim Creek. Stay safe everyone.

I've been busy the last couple of days so I haven't been keeping up with the weather very much. I'm getting up to speed again. It still looks like there's going to be a heavy stripe of precipitation through the forecast area.
Florence is also a watcher for weather enthusiasts.

Thanks mosue, our church is having a combined baby shower for my oldest daughter and another church member. They are right across the HWY from Walthers Park. My wife, daughter and granddaughter went together. A very good friend came in from Indiana for her 50th Reunion. It literally started raining minutes after they left.

Crazy radar motion and cloud motion out there. Just moving all over the place. This is a pretty cool system to watch. Looks like southern Jeffco has had quite a bit of training.
