Also wouldn't be surprised to see a Dinner time arrival around 6PM for the metro give or take an hour.

Cool mammatus-like clouds to my south.
Dyersburg, TN (NW TN) is the closest I've found a snow report. But it is ahead of schedule and that band is developing very nicely. It should intensify and hug the river if not a little west of the river by the way it looks.

I'll take this scenario: It's Magic, Charlie Brown ...Shortly thereafter, Charlie Brown roams around the neighborhood, and finds Lucy in a clearing holding a football. Being invisible, he manages to sneak up on her and kick the football. Having the upperhand against Lucy's taunts, he then teases her with the ball, before forcing her to hold it in place, causing him to kick it. His triumphant laughter irritates Lucy.

Hard to believe, but I will get to enjoy the illusive "snow on snow" I think...in November no less. Yup, I'm counting it because the hills and shaded areas on the farm still have quite a bit of the almost inch we got the other night (Ste. Gen county). Glad there was, helped me track my deer at dusk last night!

Well I just bought a new snow shovel. Didn't want to buy it yesterday in fear of angering the weather gods. There was only a few left at the home depot I went to. Many people where they buying rock salt and snow melt

The big bowling ball upper low has begun to lift NNE and will strengthen as it does so. Should be fun watching the radar evolve tonight

It is worth mentioning that the models have been particularly bad in trowal setups...washing out the accumulating snow too quickly. I expect we are seeing that with the snow tomorrow.

IRT to the cold going away because we are so cold so early, just look to the GOA. SSTs are way warm, signaling a nice little conveyor of cold enough air into the lower 48 for the foreseeable future.
