Hope snowman and union are happy... I have to believe it is coming down good there right now. Doesn't he work graveyard? He's probably asleep and missing it.

That dang hole in se KS and sw MO needs to fill in. Not going to happen. Snow band should narrow up a bit as frontal zone gets squeezed... with a slow march east and southeast this afternoon. New development will come from the south... not southwest.

Started off with a lot of movement in the woods. Had one big doe in front of me but quiet ever since and only 3 shots far off in the distance. 8:30 is the magic time here though. Going after a huge 12 on my land. I let a real nice 8 walk yesterday. Good thing is all the neighboring landowners do the same so we get some big ones around here. Some great genetics here too. There's a 170 class 13 ptr around here that we've all had on cam. I'm in it for meat primarily but love seeing a big buck too. I was up in snow country Saturday morning. They had about 2 inches on the ground in Monroe City. Killed a nice 8 point about 8 am. They were moving all over the place too. Saw 20 deer or so that day, mostly small bucks. Had to cut the trip short though because my wife isn't feeling well, and I was needed at home. That was part of the reason for taking that buck. Went to Catawissa yesterday, and saw 4 does and two small bucks in the morning, then got a doe about 3 pm. I wanted to get the bulk of the hunting in this past weekend because my wife is having surgery this week, and will be laid up for about a month. Wasn't sure Id get much hunting in the rest of rifle season because of that.

We are releasing school at noon today in Pacific. Better safe than sorry. St. Clair, Union, and Washington are all releasing early too. Meanwhile, I work for Rockwood I dont think they will send us home early. The best I can hope for is getting out of the meeting after school!

Bordering on heavy snow in Chesterfield dime sized flakes and about 1/3rd of a mile visibility maybe a little more...definitely moderate snow. Grass starting to turn whiteish... Temp has dropped to freezing... And roads are just wet.

Solid 2" on the ground, temps finally crashed down to 28* so accumulating much better even though intensity has dropped off some. I can see ending up around 3" of wet plaster here before it ends this afternoon.

Chris, tried to send this privately but wasn’t the unknown soldiers identity discovered recently and that he was from Missouri? Wasn’t he re-buried in MO? And if that’s so, who is in the tomb that the soldiers guard now?
