Went to BHalls for some wings with my boys - I am surprised how much slush is still on roadways. Not a lot but a thin coating. There is also a ton of areas with LOTS of standing water. Curious how much that will play into falling temps tonite. I am not going to find out. Home now ready for Blues and a cold beverage.

Holy Rodents! Thinking i may pick up an additional 2" tonight which would get me up to a storm total of 10-11". Just hope this stays snow! The flakes are massive though not a lot of them yet.

Here in the Hillsboro area, we have large blobs of frozen, to semi-frozen stuff falling from the sky. I think.

As far as I can tell it is all snow but they are clumping together as they fall. They are like golf balls. You can hear when hitting the ground and house at times.

23Z HRRR brings the 'blob' almost to a stand still over St. Clair County for nearly 3 hours with pouring snow starting within an hour or so.

Actually make that over 4 hours. It basically just camps over north Monroe County, St. Clair County, and southern Madison county until it dies out around 10-11PM That would be nuts. Columbia, Dupo, Cahokia east to Olges would cash out with 4-6" per the HRRR and 3-4 with the latest RAP.
