keep it classy...
Biggest flakes, fastest accumulation and heaviest snow will be just before the changeover...as the temp profile gets near freezing aloft and the flakes get sticky and start clumping together.

We’re well over an inch , still pouring snow. It would be nice to hit two inches before it changes over. I’m right in Wentzville near I 70 so we will see how Louis can hold on.

I think that vort max is what produced the super heavy snow down towards Union and Ballwin. You can still see the swirl on radar.

Wow i used to go to that scnucks when i lived in soco. (Referencing the carjacking at Butler Hill) I go there frequently, I like their wine selection. Don’t know what’s scarier, the car-jacking or the victim shooting at the car driving away. Could’ve ended worse.

Looks like I’ll average 2.6” of snow from this system. Heavy sleet is giving it a beat down now.

Rain and small hail mix, the sleet is that big like small pea size.

Fairly good amount of sleet again still mixed with snow. You can hear the sleet on the house whereas the sleet we had a little earlier you could not.

Lambert closing in on 5 inches yet?

I’m surprised at the radar it still is moving slowly, this won’t be out for a couple hours at least. This would have been awesome if it was 3-5 degrees colder.

World Series, lambert might not, get near that but I will be at 2” soon. With the way the radar looks, if it stayed snow i might be close in a couple hours. They are out plowing the roads, I thought it might be a salting .

In case anyone measures don’t make a dumb mistake like I did on those pics. Find a big surface preferably on the ground and don’t forget to bust through the sleet layer. Ended up with another .20” more when I measured the sleet on a flat large surface it didn’t bounce off. Still sleeting hard.
