Surprised at no reports from wsc. He must be out enjoying it...looks pretty good up there. Heavy snow and 40 mph gusts off the lake... Starting to coat over. Somebody away from the lake should get 5 inches today |

It is sleeting and snowing in DeSoto collecting on the vehicles this is about 6 1/2 miles out Highway H at the new place Yahoo

Rain/snow mix in Waterloo. Some missiles in there too. This is the latest I've ever seen daytime snowflakes.

Mid week could be very severe in the area Timing is not ideal. Hitting around Midnight to 6AM. Not the peak time for severe weather. System will either have to slow down or speed up to increase risk. |

I'm thinking a overnight qlcs wed night. With the works. Time of day not ideal but I remember numerous 3 am tornado warnings in active severe seasons

1.65” of rain and counting .... On another note, did find another 150 white morels yesterday before they drown Nice...it sure seems like it's shaping up to be a great season! I found half dozen yesterday in one spot, but the wind had dried them out pretty badly. |

The FV3 is a complete crap shoot. I’ve been doing a temperature study of all the major models from 12z suite every Sunday and watch what happen over the 7 day period. On average the FV3 is off (too cold) by 6-9* and yesterday it was off by 18* from the 12z suite on Sunday. Euro has been about 2-4 degrees colder than the actual high. Surprisingly the CMC has been pretty consistent with the EURO which also has a 2-4* bias over a consecutive 7 days. All models on day 7 completely suck at temps. GFS has been meh. Was that based on MOS forecasts? Only for the GFS/FV3/NAM. I don’t have MOS output for the GEM/EURO/ICON data so I resort to the closest data point on the hourly charts. Do you by chance have any links for those model MOS outputs? |

That was easily one of the top windstorms I've experienced. Neighbor lost a big oak...surprised the power stayed on. Wild day of weather! The crazy thing about the winds last night was how strong sustained they were. Im guessing they were sustained 30mph with gust around 45mph. Didn't last long but for about half an hour it was wild |

Might get some sun soon along and west of the metro soon within 1-4" hours more time the farther east you go. Should help those temps pop especially in Missouri.

I haven’t heard anything, but it is pouring snow. It’s awesome Accumulating? I’m right on the lake, so not as much here as surrounding areas. But yes, in the afternoon in Mid April I have accumulating snow lol. I have seen reports as high as 6-8 inches in the region. I’m giving myself a gold star on sniffing out this storm early. Great way to say goodbye to winter |
