So 26 years ago on yesterday's date was when superstorm 93 got going around southern AL, and yesterday had the bomb in SE colorado, about 1500 miles west of 93. So I guess in 26 years on March 13, there will be another superstorm, about right in the middle of those 2. Get ready for a huge blizzard in 26 years folks.

Multiple tornado warnings down there now. We may be seeing the beginning of an outbreak. They probably oughtta get a TOR watch up for KY and IN/OH.

Major flooding in Council Bluffs. Part of I-29 is closed. Voluntary evacuations...we know the whole drill from our experiences here.
Labrat are you on high ground?

Major flooding in Council Bluffs. Part of I-29 is closed. Voluntary evacuations...we know the whole drill from our experiences here. Labrat are you on high ground? High ground and so far dry. We live above papio creek and my husband said the normally low and docile creek is a raging river close to the top of the levee banks. Might have to do a detour on my way home today and see it, if it isn't snowing.

Crazy how much rotation is out there...you can see it even in the smaller cells. Hopefully they get sheared out, otherwise there's going to be some strong fast moving tornadoes down that way.

Confirmed tornado just SW of Evansville IN in Henderson Co KY. It is kind of hard to pick out the rotation in the velocity mode.

So have we already seen the strongest winds today? No...the strongest gusts will occur during peak heating the next several hours where clearing is present. It still looks like the far SE counties will see the strongest winds. But 50mph+ gusts will be likely area wide...just a smaller window further west where clouds are encroaching.

Almost full sunshine in Washington and gusts are easily mid to upper 40’s here. I just gave up trying to wear a cap today!! Tired of chasing it across the lawns.

According to the wind map the peak gusts are spreading across the river valley now. Once the stratus moves in it will slack off.
