Not Florida, but we're supposed to head down to Louisiana, and Gator hunt at my BIL's property next weekend, we are scheduled to leave 9/4 early am. Looks like we may be out of the Dorian reach and should be ok Compact little bugger, isn't he? I guess the 20kts of shear is hindering development on the SW side. Doesn't look like dry air or anything else would be. That's the wonder of hurricanes to me--trying to figure out why they do what they do.

That's the highest reflectivity I've ever seen...cowabunga! I was thinking the same thing. Did not expect that kind of hail today. I bet we get some reports/pics of some massive stones before long.

Meanwhile Dorian has developed a perfectly concentric eye...we should see major increases in intensity through the night.

Really nasty looking here right now. It had gotten dark, but it's a lot lighter now. Starting to rain. Quite a bit of cloud to ground lightning tok.

Did our time in the basement. Have seen only the smallest amount of wind, but it rained cats and dogs. Light rain now, but 1.27 inches since it started AFTER the tornado warning. Boatload of water.

Ok... here's a good quiz question for anyone willing to play. What is the maximum number of precipitation free days that we have had in a row since January 1st of this year? Anyone? Anyone?
I am so tired of heavy rain.
