Yeah, I wouldn't mind the Brewers losing out the rest of this season... although we were laid to rest when we lost 6 straight after our big run in early August.

It actually feels like Fall outside this morning. Maybe the recent temp outlook won’t be as warm as they think.

Not really seeing the big above normal temps later this week Tough call at this range...the GFS brings the front through the area Friday which allows widespread cloudiness and several rounds of rain and storms to break out during the weekend while the EURO hangs it up further north. I think the large scale pattern may favor the GFS with the downstream blocking developing but we'll see. Both models develop a stout ridge over the region by months end though...EURO has the strongest upper ridge we've seen this whole warm season at 595dm across the TN Valley which would bring well above normal warmth into the first week of October.

What a disappointment yesterday was for rainfall. The Davis on the roof in North St. Pete recorded only .15" Sad.

At least it wasn't channel five's "cards clench playoff spot" I swear it's like amateur hour over there, always grammatical errors on screen. It's not just grammar, it's overall cultural references. If someone is too young to know what a word or old saying is, they don't bother to look it up. Spell check says that it's ok, so go for it. It should have said "Cubs clench because the Cards clinched the playoffs'.

WSC, it’s a really good time to be a Cards fan in Chicago Understatement of the century. Truly glorious, but the Brewers losing every once in a while would be great Haha... no doubt. The schedule they've had isn't exactly a major challenge. Playing the pirates these days is like playing a little league team and that may be generous. they have utterly collapsed. I mean they gave up almost 50 runs in a series to the cubs not a week ago. I did not expect much from them against the Brewers. They will be challenged a little bit more the rest of the way... I would expect them to lose at least 1 maybe 2... Which is hopefully all we need. After this weekend, you know that cubs will be coming at us big time to wrap up the season.

There is something so wrong with a forecast of 90 on Oct 1st! Sorry! I remember a stretch during early October about 8-10 years ago where temps were in the 90s with high humidity...it's not unheard of but it's definitely a bummer. I was camping at Pere Marquette during that stretch and it was miserable!

Quick sidebar let this sink in. In just 4 short months 1990 will be 30 years ago.

It is getting cold somewhere... just not here... I believe October snow depth in Russia is correlated with strat warming and PV displacement. It’s getting close enough to start having some mild interest. Hopefully the Cards make a deep run and then we transition quickly to tracking winter storms

GFS has our first frost late next week. I only mention it because it has actually shown that big time fall cool front for several runs now.

It's going to be very warm here the next 2-3 weeks, at least. There will be cool downs as we have now, even though we are still slightly above normal. Chances of frost late next week? .1%

I didn't say it was going to happen, just pointing out the GFS continues to push a big cool front through next week. I would settle for some upper 40's at night myself.

I have to choose between a major weather station repair or a new system. My T/H board is hosed and it can't be fixed. If you had to buy new, what would you get? Looking for all opinions.
