I'd rather have rain than a nasty heat index. Anything that breaks up August is a good thing. This can go on roughly til fall as far as I'm concerned.

Wife said she had a few drops on her windshield near hear this afternoon. Not even enough to turn on the wipers See any flash flooding with that

The humidity today was pretty nasty. Did a float fishing trip on the Big River. About 5 miles and took about 7 hours. I got wet and never dried until I got home and cleaned up.

HRRR makes an argument for a flash flooding event potential overnight. PWATS are 175%-200% above normal.
Will be interesting to see where mcon sets up.

Drove from house springs to the arch then to Ballwin rain from loughborogh (can't spell) to the city then stopped till I got to Webster groves now I'm in Ballwin and it just stopped again
Heading to JEFF City now for more tomatoes 🍅 hope it's a dry trip home

I thought our 3 inches of rain over here was a lot, some of these totals north and especially west-northwest are insane. More to come over this way as well, though the main axis is a bit more north now.
