Consideration of nao and ao....a few days ago was showing strong positive. Seems to be flipfloppy. I have not looked at it today. It might not be too useful to us in trying to figure out upcoming patterns. I did see favorable epo. I am personally thinking our next chance for accumulating snow will be around the 10th to 20th of december which fits well with an idea of a bookend winter.

Sounds like the same winds will likely ground the balloons in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade Thank God. I hate that stupid parade.

Dont forget to check your trampolines to make sure they are anchored down in the soft ground. 55 mph wind gusts are forecast.

Man is it going to get muddy-er Thursday thru Saturday. What a bummer. Make sure to tie your turkeys up tonight so they don't get blown away. The EPS look kind of ugly heading thru the 1st week of December.

Got all my yard stuff...things like patio furniture, hammock, and any loose items remediated from the high winds. Thght abt turning my patio table over but decided not to bc its round and i didnt want it rolling around. Trampoline is secure. Only thing that concerns me is a hickory tree nw of my daughters bedroom. Its live but its next to a swale and the ground is soft. I may opt to move my daughter to another bedroom, especially if we get alot of rain. These wind gusts are going to last all through the night. I dont think the post front winds are to be taken lightly. In fact im more concerned abt them than any thunderstorm spinups.

Given the development now down near Springfield and just north, I’d expect a watch of some sort for south of 44 soon.

It has been raining here in Mascoutah for several hours. I would imagine this will impede the severe threat over here.

St louis will likely be in the watch in an hour or 2. Antecedent rain Will really have no effect on severe possibilities All wind driven, low cape high shear. Should be interesting.

Low level 0-3km CAPE is still forecasted to increase to over 200 j/kg over a wide area and well north of I-70. This would be considered high even for a spring setup. Having the equilibrium level down near 500mb makes traditional CAPE metrics deceptive.

Very dense fog from Iowa through KC and east. 70 is a little freaky in the fog. Less than 1/4 mile visibility. Scary stuff.

It feels downright balmy for a late November night....just stacked the patio chairs and made sure all was secure. It’s warmed up here 2 degrees since mid afternoon as well.
