Agree that this is the heaviest snow seen in a while... Beautiful! Just hope the snowblower can handle it when the time comes.

This enhanced band is falling at around 1.5-2”/hr rate. Insane!

Will this start the more west to east movement soon or will it continue more North?

I just picked my mom up at Lambert just 10 minutes ahead of the big band. we drove home in it. It has been a while since I have seen it snow that hard during the day. Wow. Roads are a diaster. Guessing about 2 inches at her place in Krikwood. Now off to home in chesterfield!

I have maybe 2 here 7 miles west of de soto.............. 2/10" that is. It was coming down hard when it snowed....just didn't last very long. At least I don't have to wrestle taking the blade off the 4 wheeler.

A little more snow for areas near the I-64 corridor, but now it's time for some sleet then a light glazing later today/tonight. A 10-12 hr break and then 2-3" (higher amounts possible) with wave 2 tomorrow hopefully. This is a wonderful gift from the atmosphere!

Transitioned to unknown precip as i look out my window. Given the lift with waa has moved on, im guessing if i step outside i will see grapel or light sleet. Guessing the transition has begun. Estimating 2.5 imby.

I'm getting sleet mixing in, as well. Also it's slightly windblown with the pinging hitting the window. Visibility is still a few hundred feet

Roads are pretty bad in St. Charles. Visibility was quite low so I'm guessing we drove through at least 1"/hr rates. We are at the St Louis Ambush game. There aren't many people here.

Big and fluffy flakes coming down thick and fast now in Bowling Green. Just eyeballing it, I'd say a good 2 inches, maybe 2.5. Will try to get a measurement in a little while. 24*

Measured 2.25 exactly. Located 3 miles east of Cedar Hill. Took a drive to the store. When I left roads were snow covered, but when I came home they were just wet to slushy. That was in a span of 20 minutes.

Driving home from OH, we didn’t really see steady snow until we got to Effingham. Then heavier on 57 from Salem to Mt. Vernon. I64 was snow packed, with a few cars and a semi in the median. Really tapered off between Okawville and St. Libory, then just a dusting in Marissa. Good call on the southern edge.

What's happening in Brighton? 45-50dbz returns there! Approaching March 4th, 2008 level snowfall...<1/8th mile vis. currently. I cleared the snowboard before this hit to measure the snow rate.

I sure hope round two brings two or three more inches, if round two is even a thing at this point.

It would be nice if we can get one storm this winter with snow rates like this that last several hours! I see the NWS refreshed the WSW. Their thinking is stii another 2 to 6 by tomorrow night when it ends.

Flake size has decreased but this may be the lowest visibility from snow I've ever witnessed currently!
