So for us south of 64, that it? Having a hard time interpreting the radar compared to what the short term models say should be happening.

Snow is picking up again in WashMO. Not heavy, but steady. Solid 2 inches already.

Just measured 1.7 here in Chesterfield with a light mix of stuff right now. Heaviest snow the rest of today in Phase 1 will remain focused north of I-70...and gradually lift away from metro STL. Additional less organized bands of light to moderate mixed precipitation will continue to bubble up from the west/southwest over the next few hours...additional accumulations within the metro for today will likely be less than 1 inch. From what I'm seeing totals are lining up pretty close to the phase 1 forecast. I have not had time to look more closely at tomorrow...obviously that widespread 1-3 is a critical part of the storm total.

It’s necessarily about how you get there, it’s the ends result we’ll remember. Those who were grumbling about missing out early more than made up for it in the second band. I think you came out looking pretty good...today. 😉

Roads suck in the High Ridge area. When you get 1-1/2 to 2 inch per hour rates, even for an hour, it doesn't really matter how much you pretreat.

I have give a quick look through the 12z and available 18z data and I dont see anything that leads me away from my broadbrush 1-3 for tomorrow...so I will leave that alone at this point and ride the rest of the storm out.

Measured in several different spots. Lowest a little over 2” but everywhere else was right at or just under 3”. If precise, I’d go with 2.8 but I like rounded numbers, so 3” O’Fallon/Dardenne.

I was estimating and came close to saying 2.75 but i decided 2.5 was a better estimate. Thx for confirming with your measured rpt.

Will the winter storm warning continue all night in Jeffco? We haven’t gotten any more snow since lunchtime and the freezing stuff is coming but it may not last long! Anxious for the closings in the am to see whether it’s worth attempting to drive to Hillsboro early pm for a dental appt!

Let me ask why are my friends disappointed in the snowfall totals so far? Between 2-3 inches fell in metro STL. Was the message different like we were to get more today?
