Nice for the garbage man for getting my trash early before doing the other side of the street like he usually does as I was already out putting preliminary salt down on the sidewalk and driveway. Therefore I was able to get it around back through the fence before things get too crazy precip-wise.

I don't know if I saw this posted or not, but the official NWS is for the axis of heaviest of snow to setup through the metro area with 6".

Looks like based on the radar that I-44/I-70 is the boundary for the heaviest snow axis with areas along and south of it getting the heaviest amounts with lighter amounts north.

If the sweet spot today was the precip void yesterday, this should be fun! Moderate snow with big flakes in Ballwin right now.

Sleet to snow back to sleet in Hillsboro, MO. Kinda feels sleetmagedon.

I'm wondering if the NWS isn't a tad too far north with the axis of snow. I'm okay with the top end of 6" just not sure the airport will get that. We'll see.

Transition to mainly snow at 55/McNutt In Herculaneum. Quarter sized flakes. Seems to be still back and forth between majority sleet and then snow.

HRRR is still bonkers That's the perfect map, because it goes halfway through Monroe County in Illinois and then hits the wall before getting to us. All sleet in Marissa, according to the wife. School was not called off this morning, but I'm hearing rumors of early dismissal.

Crap is funnier than crap, just saying. It’s also an exclamation like, “carp, my snow burst quit after 20 minutes and now nothing”.

Cold rain remains the dominant P-type at KFAM, however noticeable ice accretion is occurring on trees and power lines.

The airport recorded 2.6" yesterday. We need exactly 3.5" to hit coz's guess of 6.1".
