And it's hamsters in Belleville. Flat out ripping.
Phone rang, thought it was Schnucks, but just silly Walgreens with an Rx reminder...

massive flakes falling 7 miles west of de soto and no sleet mixed in...yippee. The hamsters also falling a little slower in their descent than they were when the mix was occurring. Has to be a good sign....right...tell me it's a good sign. Will I get 5" of snow IMBY now that I have lost probably 2" of snow to the mix? ?. Just amazingly beautiful outside now. I can barely see Hwy H that is roughly 800' from the house.

Haven't had any sleet in Union that I'm aware of. Just a lot of mod- hvy snow. Flakes range from dimes to bigger than quarters. Tried to go to work early, couldn't make it up the first hill of 4 in the subdivision. How much snow did you get on wave 1?

15Z HRRR pretty much taking a reality check, ditches the 12+" amounts but still keeps the 6-8" dream alive with the second batch still on the way around 7-8PM.

I have never seen snowflakes this big....maybe ping pong ball size if not bigger. they have to be near the upper edge of size possible without falling apart on their descent down. Lack of wind helps I am sure.

In the dry-air land that is my house, even under the dark yellow returns, the flakes decreased to nothing and it was more sleet/grauple than anything, yet at the same time, under similar type returns, others were getting monster flakes Interesting.

I'm guessing just zr in Perryville/Farmington? Still singing in the rain. Ice accretion remains limited to elevates surfaces such as trees and power lines.
