I know there’s weather going on and I hope folks don’t mind but need to let it out. We had to put down our wonderful dog of 6 and a half years this afternoon. I knew I would be sad, but wow. We are devastated. He was just unlike any other. I’m just glad we are pregnant with our first (7 months along) because if we didn’t have that it would be even harder. Thanks for everyone’s kind words and private messages the other day when I first posted about it. It just feels like the pain won’t ever end with his loss though I know it will. I've been through it. It's tough. But he's better off now. That's how I had to look at it last year when we had to put ours down for arthritis and other issue. After years of pain and drugs for them she could finally be the carefree happy dog we remembered from when she was younger.

Lambert at 37 and Spirit at 31 with precip getting close on radar. I know Spirit sits in the river valley where the cold air pools. What are the more rural areas at temperature wise? This precip could get really interesting away from the city

This precip could get really interesting away from the city I'm at 29 over here, but I'm almost 70 miles east of downtown, but it looks like rural areas much closer to the city are 33-34.

I suspect temps will rise here before any precip makes it. I've noticed even when it's colder over here on the east side many times I'll play catch up with temps to my west, especially when thicker clouds and precip move in.

Hmm, rather surprisingly, there's a winter storm watch from Sunday thru Monday for about the entire area. Interesting

Spirit was at 31; now up to 35. But the rain is going to wash away the brine the road crews put down. They can't get a break when it comes to these systems.

Hmm, rather surprisingly, there's a winter storm watch from Sunday thru Monday for about the entire area. Interesting Guessing the potential for significant icing along with minor snow accums was enough to warrant a watch. I don't expect warning level accums of either snow or ice though which is 6"+ and 1/4"+.

The watch message says 1-4 inches of snow and tenth of an inch of ice for the area...3-7 inches and .1 ice in the north and 1 inch of snow and .2 of ice in the south

We really need this thing to go south about 50 miles or so..... that would put the whole area in more snow and much less ice..... I don’t want ice
