Never forecasted anything except to say weren't getting much at all, like nws and other have. If we get 2inches I'll hang my head in shame. I think you said 2 flakes? which isnt much at all. You people take things so literal. 2 flakes doesnt mean 2 flakes an 8 yr old knows that. Lol

WSC I think you’re in the money on this one. I’m pessimistic. The NWS is going with 2-3 and seems more interested in Lake Shore flooding. Will try to get video of some massive waves tomorrow though

Decent hook just NW of Sullivan heading to west STL County and St. Charles County just after 9pm. Moving at 53kts!! Out where I live. Hopefully no power outages. There was definitely something there. Went away pretty quick

RAP is starting to look good as well. It is basically rapidly deepening the low , it goes from a 1002 to 994mb in about 6 hours . It looks like it has a decent snow shield developing at the end of its run.

I am approx 5 miles north of sullivan, just had a few minutes of absolutely heavy rain with ripping wind.... that momentary blip shown by previous post was wicked..... luckily no damage and still have power. Thanks to all and stay safe friends.

Most people should figure out that 2 flakes means the same as a woman's (my wife's) 2 minutes. It's anywhere from 0 to 15, and go wait in the car.

So...are we thinking a rain to snow scenario, or rain to ice to snow? That would make a HUGE difference of the chance that it sticks.

00z gfs is weak. Not much snow for anyone.
Hopefully the deformation zone is more impressive than that

Thanks to all and stay safe friends. I've had a half dozen or more 5 to 15 minute rounds of incredibly heavy rain this evening. Sounded like there was a crowd of people ónnthe roof river dancing. And with all this rain there is, no doubt, a number of Rivers flowing down the roof from which they can choose.

Ive had the same experience as guyatacomputer....numerous intense rainy episodes alternating with less heavy rains. The large yellow blob looks to be timed around midnight for me and be more constant overnight. Things are transpiring pretty much according to the msg ive been getting from going forecasts, so kudos to all responsible for public forecasts.

Chwcked the station about 15 min ago. 1.8 in and still coming down. Yes several rounds of heavy stuff, some thunder, lightning in the distance, and I’d swear to some light hail at moments.didnt last long enough nor sound big enough to go outside and verify lol.

Yeah! Sleet at the onset, but it will change to snow very quickly. For sure, Ukie is on top!
